Wedge Press Oil Extraction

Its printed title: The Mechanical Extraction of Lipids via Traditional Wooden Wedge Presses: A Multidisciplinary Analysis of Oilseed and Fruit Processing

A second study of the wooden wedge press, opening on the Zaan oil mills, which it reckons at about 600 around 1700. It readies sunflower seed by dehulling, flaking to 0.25 to 0.37 mm and heating to 85 to 100 °C, treats olive paste as well, and sets the wedge taper at 20 to 24 degrees. The olive pages serve no Brandenburg grower, flaking needs roller mills, the equations were lost, and much repeats the earlier wedge-press report.
