Berlin Wild Edibles Guide

Its printed title: A Comprehensive Botanical and Ethnobotanical Guide to Wild Edibles and Medicinal Roots in the Berlin-Brandenburg Region

What may be gathered wild in Berlin and Brandenburg, and what may not. It sets out the federal hand-bouquet rule, the bans in reserves and national parks, and fines it puts at up to €50,000, notes that wild garlic is red-listed in Brandenburg and must not be picked there, and warns of heavy metals in city soils, fox tapeworm and poisonous lookalikes among the umbellifers, with a table of them. Its medicinal claims for horseradish, chicory and dandelion need a second source.
